I almost wrote about the signs of spring,
but I didn’t.
I almost shared about my classroom,
but I didn’t.
I almost posted about my daughter,
but I didn’t.
I almost scribbled about standardized testing,
but I didn’t.
I almost dropped a line about our family pets,
but I didn’t.
I almost didn’t publish a slice of life,
but I didn’t.

What a fun format! I am almost to that point where my pre-thought-of slices area bout to run dry. I need to turn on the slicing machine!
Thanks, Leigh Anne. I keep a running list of ideas in my Evernote app. That helps me when I have writer’s block.
I love your fun and creative post! I am glad you didn’t not post.
Thanks, Laura! I’m glad you could visit my blog.
I love your posts. Every. Single. Day! You have such great ideas for poetry formats-are you making these up?
Thank you, Kim. I truly appreciate your kind words!!! I am making them up. I have a “blue bag” filled with mentor texts but I haven’t used it yet. I just carry it around from room to room! It might turn into post! I wrote this post in bed last night and scrambled out of bed to jot it down…crazy!
Lots of fun!
Thank you! I’m happy you stopped for a visit!
Glad that you found a way to post a slice after all.
You did not!
Or rather,
you did.
And I’m glad you did.
Because if you hadn’t
it would have been missed
by those of us
who stop by to see
and hear
and enjoy
your daily creations.
I’m glad you didn’t,
and happy I did.
Ahhhh…your writing amazes me! Absolutely perfect!!!
So glad you didn’t give in to the urge to almost not publish your slice. This is delightful, and Greg’s response is amazing too.
Thanks, Ramona! I know! Greg amazes me with his writing.
