today is…
the last day of the slice of life writing challenge,
a feeling of success,
a feeling of sadness,
the end is here!
~~~~~
today is…
the last day of getting up a little extra early,
knowing tomorrow i’ll sleep a bit later,
knowing tomorrow i’ll find something different to read in the morning,
the end is here!
~~~~~
today is…
the last day of revising, editing, and publishing,
not needing to be sure i have a slice of my life ready to share,
not needing to scrutinize my post just one more time,
the end is here!
~~~~~
today is…
the last day of hearing my WordPress notification chime,
no more wondering who read my blog,
no more commenting on a favorite find,
the end is here!
~~~~~
today is…
the end,
but is it really?
tuesday is right around the corner!

I love how this ends with such hope, “Tuesday is right around the corner”!!!! What a lovely poem to celebrate this achievement!!
Amy, I’ve so enjoyed reading your pieces this month. This is another great poem to add to your collection. I’ll be looking for you on Tuesdays!
Wonderful ending to a wonderful month! So glad you contributed your poems, and see you on Tuesday!
I love the way you captured the essence of March SOLSC in this poem, Amy. And yes, Tuesday will be here before we know it!
Amy, your posts have been inspiring and thoughtful every day. Thank you for all of them and for committing to Tuesdays! I’ll see you then. Happy Thursday!
This doesn’t have to be the end. It could be the beginning of a regular writing habit. 🙂 I have really enjoyed your slices over the past 31 days. I’ll see you Tuesday, if not sooner!
The end of one thing, and the beginning of another! Thanks for all the thoughtful slices this month of writing, Amy.
I’m so glad that you are going to keep posting. It’s really just the beginning of a new writing year.
Success and sadness…yes. It really is a mixed bag of emotions. Will look forward to your Tuesday posts. Thank you for all of your comments on my posts.
My favorite phrase from your poem, “Tuesday is right around the corner.” Looking forward to hearing from you all year long. Loved reading your posts. Congrats on 31 days – Way to go, my friend!
