Today’s post I was having fun with zip codes in the form of poetry. Here’s how it works: A ZIP code is five numbers, so the number of words in each line is determined by the number in that particular zip code. Give it a try!

What a fun idea for a poem structure. It sounds like you’ve got a fabulous summer ahead of you!
This is so fun! I’m going to try this. Can’t wait for those lazy afternoons to read books in the warm summer sand. Thanks, Amy!

Love this idea! I’m going to give it a try.
What a cool way to think about poetry, geography and have fun too! So – what do you do if you have a zero in your zip code? Hmmm…
If you have a zero, you get to skip that line! Glad you enjoyed my slice.
I love this idea of using zip codes for places visited. I agree, the best zip code is the one for home.
This is a wonderful idea – love the way you structured this poem, Amy.
